Course Content

Palliative care is crucial in improving the quality of life for individuals facing serious illness. It focuses on providing relief from symptoms, pain management, and addressing emotional, social, and spiritual needs.

In this webinar we will explore a palliative care case study with focus on a detailed pain and symptom assessment, exploration of the pathophysiology of common symptoms as well as their management with pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.

Throughout the case study it will be evident that the interdisciplinary palliative care team collaborates closely, engaging in regular communication and frequent reassessments of symptoms and interventions.

This person-centred approach ensures that the management strategies are continually refined based on the patient's evolving needs and goals, with the ultimate aim of improving their quality of life during the palliative care journey.
