Recognition of Patterns and Tactics of Bullying Behaviour

This is a challenging short presentation designed to assist the health professional to recognise what is happening, which is the first step to healing from bullying at work or home. The target is NEVER responsible for the abuse, however patterns learnt in childhood such as rescuing behaviour and lack of boundaries can make it more likely that a person with narcissistic traits may target this person.

Course Content

This presentation has been designed to assist the Nurse who is being exposed to bullying abuse in either the home or work environment.

Unfortunately in some work situations, due to the lack of knowledge of the patterns of bullying behaviours, the target is often not believed and blamed for the abuse. This leads to inadequate management of the abuse, and lack of justice, which can have negative effects on the nurse.

The negative impact on the nurse can have lasting effects, impacting both mental and physical health. The target is usually in a continuous loop of emotional turmoil, from the charm, abuse, and poor me behaviours of the abuser. Unless the target is made aware of the cycle of abuse; confusion will develop with self-blame, anxiety, poor self-esteem and loss of confidence.
